The University of Cambridge Schools of Clinical Medicine and Biological Sciences wish to recruit a Public Engagement Coordinator.

The post holder will provide a coordinating focus within the two Schools for public engagement (PE) work, ensuring that the informal network of practitioners is supported and works in a harmonised and strategic manner. The post holder will be responsible for producing reports and presentations for funders and the public on the Schools' PE strategy and activities. The role is expected to encourage scientists to undertake PE activity, assist them with skills and programme development and take part in selected PE activities, for example during Science Week.

The ideal candidate will have a first degree in a relevant scientific field, experience in public engagement work including evaluation, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and be able to write, speak and present clearly with a very high standard of English.

The post is available until 30th September 2021 in the first instance. A part-time or flexible hours working pattern may be possible.
