Dorothy MacKenzie (she/her)

Dorothy is Chair of the board of governors of the Arts University Bournemouth. 

Her executive career was as a brand and design professional working at the interface between innovation, brands and sustainability. She was a member of the Government Advisory Committee on Business and the Environment, the National Advisory Group on Eco-Labelling, and Business in the Environment, as well as acting as a Trustee of the Design Council and Chair of Green Alliance. 

She has written or contributed to a number of books on design, sustainability and brands, including Green Design, Business is Beautiful, Longer Lasting Products and The Handbook of Design for Sustainability, reflecting her commitment to the essential role that creative skills must play in the transformation to a sustainable economy and way of living. 

AUB is active in civic engagement, developing a wide range of programmes related to the transfer of knowledge within the community.
