Rebecca Blackman
National Director, Engagement and Communities - Arts Council England
Rebecca Blackman has worked with Arts Council England for over ten years, starting as an Education and Learning Officer. She has also worked as an actor/teacher with various theatre companies in York, Leeds and Nottingham; as a project leader for a National Health Service advice and counselling project; as a Senior Manager for Advice Services in local government and as a teacher of English and Drama in a London Comprehensive School. She is currently leading Arts Council England’s Creative People and Places programme focussing on the least engaged places in England; Arts Councils work with older people; and a wide range of other engagement programmes.
